Display Boards (Kiosk)

1. Overview

The Display Boards (KIOSK) module in EasyLib allows libraries and institutions to display digital notices, announcements, images, and information screens on monitors placed at different locations on campus.

These digital boards act as information kiosks that show library announcements, events, notices, and promotional content automatically.

Typical uses include:

  1. Library announcements
  2. Event notifications
  3. Hall of fame displays
  4. Welcome screens
  5. Digital notice boards
  6. Library information screens

The system manages multiple display boards across different locations in the institution.

2. Accessing Display Boards Module

Navigate to:

EasyLib ? Display Boards

The module contains the following sections:

  1. Display Boards View
  2. Display Boards Management
  3. Display Board Locations
  4. Display Boards Entry
  5. Display Board Images

3. Display Boards View

The Display Boards View page shows all configured display boards in the system.

Information shown in the table

Sl.No Serial number of the display board
Display Board Location Physical location of the display screen
Display Board Name Name of the display board
Contact Person Responsible person for the display board
Contact Phone Phone number of contact person
Contact Email Email of contact person
Status Active or Inactive
Images Number of images configured for display

4. Display Boards Management

The Display Boards Management section allows administrators to manage digital display boards.

Using this section you can:

  1. Create new display boards
  2. Modify existing boards
  3. Activate or deactivate boards
  4. Assign images and content

This ensures that each screen displays relevant information for its location.

5. Display Board Locations

This section is used to define physical locations where display screens are installed.

Examples:

Location Purpose
Libraries1 Library entrance displays
College Entrance Welcome and announcements
Auditorium Event announcements
Sports Halls Sports achievements
Seminar Hall Academic events

Locations help administrators organize multiple screens across campus.

6. Display Boards Entry

This option allows administrators to create a new display board.

Steps to Add a Display Board

  1. Go to Display Boards Entry
  2. Enter the following details:
Field Description
Display Board Name Name of the screen
Display Board Location Physical location
Contact Person Responsible person
Contact Phone Contact number
Contact Email Email address
Status Active / Inactive
  1. Save the record.

If successful, the system shows:

Module Saved Successfully

7. Display Board Images

Display boards use images to show information on screens.

This section allows administrators to upload and manage images for each display board.

Images may include:

  1. Event posters
  2. Library notices
  3. Welcome messages
  4. Hall of fame photos
  5. Institutional achievements

Steps to Add Images

  1. Go to Display Board Images
  2. Select the display board
  3. Upload images
  4. Save

The system will automatically rotate images on the display screen.

Display Board View

Display Boards in Campus shows a summary of all digital display boards installed across different campus locations. It helps administrators quickly see how many screens are available and their status.

Columns Explanation

Sl.No.

Sequential number used only for listing the records.

Display Board Location

The physical area in the campus where the display boards are installed.

Examples: Library entrance, Auditorium, Sports Hall, Seminar Hall, etc.

Total Display Boards

Total number of display boards configured in that particular location.

Example:

If the library has 3 screens, the value will be 3.

Active Display Boards

Number of boards currently enabled and running.

These boards are actively showing images, announcements, or notices.

Inactive Display Boards

Number of boards that are disabled or not currently in use.

These boards exist in the system but are not displaying content.

Display Board Locations

This section is used to define and manage the physical locations where display boards are installed in the campus.

Administrators can create location names such as:

  1. Library Entrance
  2. Auditorium
  3. Sports Hall
  4. Seminar Hall
  5. College Entrance

These locations are later used when creating display boards so that each board is associated with a specific place in the campus.

Purpose:

  1. Organize display boards by location
  2. Identify where each screen is installed
  3. Manage multiple screens across the campus easily

Display Boards Entry

This option is used to create and register a new display board in the system.

Here the administrator enters details such as:

  1. Display Board Name
  2. Display Board Location
  3. Contact Person responsible for the board
  4. Contact Phone
  5. Contact Email
  6. Status (Active / Inactive)

After saving, the display board becomes part of the system and can be managed or assigned images.

Purpose:

  1. Register new digital screens
  2. Maintain responsible contact information
  3. Activate or deactivate display boards

Display Board Images

This section is used to upload and manage images that will appear on the display boards.

Each display board can have multiple images such as:

  1. Event posters
  2. Library announcements
  3. Welcome messages
  4. Hall of fame photos
  5. Institutional notices

These images are displayed sequentially on the display board screen.
